Pizza Delivery: If You Can’t Tip Your Driver $5, Then Don’t Order

Every night, Papa John’s, Dominoes, and Pizza Hut vehicles are driving back-and-forth delivering to homes across my city… and every city and town across America. This doesn’t even include all the DoorDash and Uber Eats drivers out there. But let’s just focus just on the pizza delivery people. These delivery drivers you see on the roads are anywhere from 22 to 82 years old (yep… … Read more

Only 3 Chapters

Sitting around in our dorm room, about 4 or 5 of us guys began talking about two of our friends on our floor who had just lost their grandparents. It was not uncommon amongst us college students to hear that someone’s grandparent had just passed away. I attended a Bible College in central Illinois. In those years, Lincoln Christian College (now called Lincoln Christian University), … Read more

Wish List of 3 BIG Changes to Harry Potter

I’ve been a Harry Potter fan since about the time book 3 was released (mid-1999). I bought books 1 and 2, then read 3. Every year after that I stood outside Barnes & Noble for the midnight release of the newest book. I’ve read the books several times and listened to the audio books a couple times too. I did the same with the movies. … Read more

Why I ❤ Texas!

There’s lots to love about Texas. All other states… well… they’re just states. I’ve been to most other states. While they may have a couple of nice things, it’s quite evident that their is little state pride and character. People just exist. In Texas, we live! Enjoy a few photos of what it could be like. Flash Flood – Tropical Storm Hermine

I mostly want to share a few pictures of what Tropical Storm Hermine dumped on us in North Texas.  Even after several hundred miles after making land fall, Hermine dumped about 5 inches of rain on Tuesday, and then unloaded another 10 inches on Wednesday. My daughters left for school at 7:30 am, driving our Jeep Liberty. Somewhere after 9:30 my oldest daughter calls to … Read more

Blogging For Bucks

One of the easiest ways to make money online is to blog.  But, just because it’s easy to do, also means that it is easy not to do and easy to overlook the basics. Some people blog and blog, and their sites are never found in the search engines. Some people blog for 3 weeks and quit. Some people blog about everything under the sun … Read more

I don’t know… Maybe Obama ain’t so bad

I was at 7-11 yesterday before picking up my daughter from softball practice.  Inside the store there were 5 African-American guys all wearing Obama sweatshirts, buttons, hats, and other stuff.  I thought to myself, “Give me a break.”  He’s just the president.  I voted for McCain.  I am a STRONG support of President Bush.  I despise and think it is deplorable the way people, the … Read more

What’s Up For 2009??

I have been spending quite a bit of time thinking and planning for the new year… 2009.  There’s lots to consider, and much to be hopeful about.  One thing is for sure.  I never felt better about my decision to be doing what I am doing on the Internet than I do right now. After spending time with different family and friends over Christmas, hearing … Read more

McCain or Obama – Does It Really Matter?

I have mentioned before that in the grand scheme of things, Americans are putting WAY TOO MUCH emphasis on the outcome of this election.  Why? Because in the larger picture, no one president (even with a majority in the house or senate) can control your life… for the good or bad.  I am 100% behind McCain and Palin.  100%.  But, that doesn’t mean I am … Read more
