It’s not been as bad as I’d thought it would be. I took about 16 days to go through the induction phase of the Atkins diet. Atkins has received a lot of crap over the years because they misunderstand things. The diet itself is actually not that harsh. But, people believe the induction is the whole diet, when it’s not. The 2 week induction is designed to get you moving in the right direction, and most importantly in my case, to break your addiction to carbs, sugars, and all those breads that I liked to eat.
Anyway, enough about that. I’m feeling great. I’ve dropped 18 pounds and now it’s time to add exercising to my daily routine. That’s 18 pounds that would be working on my knees.
I just gotta say… life is too short to live it fat…. whatever fat may be. Fat could be 20 pounds or it could be 100 pounds overweight, but it is amazing how your outlook for the day is different when you’re not depressed about your weight and having to go buy the next size up in clothes.
One more thing that to me is also VERY important. Being overweight in many ways is merely a reflection of other areas of your life. A lack of discipline in your weight is also a lack of discipline in your career, your relationships, your spiritual life, etc.
Feeling good and having a good October!
